Our Story

Chris and Agi, the owners of The Whitehouse, have honed their skills as a kitchen and front-of-house duo in various boutique hotels and fine dining establishments across Scotland. Chris, in particular, has worked in some of Scotland’s most esteemed kitchens, including One Devonshire Gardens in Glasgow, The Airds Hotel in Port Appin, and Greywalls Hotel & Chez Roux in Gullane.

Since taking over The Whitehouse in 2022, their focus has been on offering sustainable, locally sourced food in a relaxed and casual setting. Their love for foraging inspires them to constantly experiment with new ways to incorporate wild ingredients into their menus. They even bring their rescue dog, Szikra (whose name means “Spark”), on their foraging adventures. At The Whitehouse, guests can feel right at home and savour the best that the West Highlands has to offer.
