Andrew Raven Trust at Ardtornish

Just had a busy weekend catering for the Andrew Raven Trust weekend.  Lee's delicious and delicate Smoked mackerel terrine started off the feast on Friday night and on Saturday evening guests were treated to Mike's seafood stewl: heaving with Sound of Mull Scallops, Mull mussels, squid and monkfish, topped off with our prawns.  A big hit.  Thank you Mike and Lee.  Jane

I have always had a healthy respect for hogweed .  5 yeas ago I was "gardening" (ie slash and burning) and attacked some healthy hogweed.  Later that night I thought the plague had struck.  Lovely spots all over me.  But, Mike has taught me to see hogweed in a new light and as the young juicy hog weed shoots emerge we are   eying them up for the kitchen. Thanks to EATWEEDS we will be serving hogweed with wild garlic and nettles!
